Summary

Another bumper-sized Empire Podcast this week, as Chris Hewitt has a fun and also impassioned chat with the great John Leguizamo, star of the new Disney animation Encanto. They talk about how Lin-Manuel Miranda wrote a rap especially for Leguizamo, about Latinx representation in movies, and that thing Benny Blanco From The Bronx did in Carlito's Way. (Spoilers for that film lurk within, so be careful!) Then Ben Travis has a natter about House Of Gucci, The Last Duel, Kylo Ren and more with the wonderful Adam Driver, and we round off a trio of interviews with Chris talking Eternals spoilers with that film's director, Chloe Zhao. Right at the end of the episode, so you can skip it if you wish to remain spoiler-free. Then, in the podbooth, Chris is joined by Helen O'Hara and James Dyer to discuss whether the MCU has jumped the shark, talk about the week's movie news (or lack thereof, given that it's Thanksgiving and Hollywood has clocked off), imagine what David Attenborough would make of Jurassic World: Dominion, and review House Of Gucci, Encanto, Pirates, and Bruised. Oh, and they also talk Christmas tree etiquette, because the most wonderful time of the year is upon us. So sit back, grab your baubles, and enjoy.

1:18.0

1:22.8

the correction, I never thought I would give the facts about Peppa Pig World were in fact wrong.

1:26.4

This is like bless you, sir. Bless you. Yes, indeed. Hello, Paul. I'm Chris Huyard. Welcome to

this probably comes with no surprise to you. But Peppa Pig annoys the shit out of me. I mean,

1:56.1

I appreciate the Madame Gazelle pun like that solid. I like that. But beyond that, Madame Gazelle,

the French teacher. Madame Gazelle. Madame Gazelle. The French teacher. It's good. It's good.

2:08.5

Has a good. It sounds a bit like Madame Gazelle, which is like a French. Madame Gazelle.

2:14.4

I think you're given this pun more credit than it deserves. I'm not even sure there's a pun there

in the first place. I thought it was decent. Okay. All right. All I know about Peppa Pig is that
