Firstly, maybe you can explain to us then why this round of fighting has started and what is going on on the ground?

Absolutely, yeah. So this current war, which is really the worst violence to afflict Libya since the 2011 revolution

and includes substantial foreign meddling it's really the result of of the territorial and political expansion of Kharehifah Heftar.

Now he's a general that's historically been based in the East, one time confident of Gaddafi, defected from

Gaddafi's regime, had quite an interesting career where he was recruited by the CIA, then fled to America and lived in America for 20 years before coming back to the revolution.
