studying your animal of choice. Yeah, absolutely. So my name is Sarah McAnulty. I am a squid

biologist and I'm also the executive director of a nonprofit called Skype a Scientist. And so we'll talk more about Skype a Scientist later, but let's talk about Squid for now.

So I've been interested in Squid since I was a little kid and really always loved the ocean.

But when I was a kid, I didn't really know what like, what scientists were and, like, how to become one

or what a life as a scientist really even looked like. So, you know, my parents also didn't

really know. They were teachers, great parents, 10 out of 10, but didn't really know what

scientists were, what they did. So they were like, well, you know, maybe you'll work in an aquarium. Like, I don't really know. But then I went to college and started working

with this lab in Woods Hole, Massachusetts at the Marine Biological Laboratory, the MBL, worked with

Cuddlefish, which are the cutest animals, I think, in the history of animals.

But we're talking about Bobtail squid today.

But man, Cuddlefish got to put a plug in for Cuddlefish.
