Hello and welcome to PFF Fancy football podcast, USFL edition.

Great day to be great and great day to preview week eight.

We got three more weeks of regular season action before four lucky teams will head on up

to Canton, battle this thing out into playoffs.

So just five more weeks of this magnificent sport.

Then we're going to be in July.

No more football is going on until preseason in August.

So thank you all for continuing to join me here and let's talk some freaking ball.

Want to start off with going over the playoffs scenarios.

Basically, the way the USFL works, they have a North division and a South division.

Why do they need divisions when every team plays in Birmingham?

I don't know, but that's besides the point.

Top two teams from each make it.

So in the North, the New Jersey generals have already clinched a playoff spot at six

and one, just like in the South to Birmingham style, and it's already clinched a spot at seven

and now so far, the only team actually eliminated is the Houston gamblers.

Although it does look like the Philadelphia stars have a pretty damn good chance of making

it up into North.

The North division is the generals, the stars who are four and three and then we have the

one and six Panthers and ballers.

So the stars, they just need one more win and any of the last three weeks and they are

in or they need the Panthers and ballers to lose just one more game each.
