0:13.4	It's a complicated question and today we're going to look at the religion, the
0:18.0	denominations of his parents, where Donald Trump was baptized, where he was confirmed, the locations of his wedding, and try to put together from all these pieces the religion, the spirituality, the denomination of President Donald Trump. the
0:33.0	the denomination of President Donald Trump. Let's get started.
0:36.0	Well, we should begin with Donald Trump's father,
0:40.0	Fred Trump. He was conceived in Bavaria where his parents had gone to
0:45.0	re-establish their residency, but the family quickly moved back to the United States.
0:50.9	Now, this places Fred Trump as born in New York and he is raised in a
0:57.2	German-speaking home and he's raised Lutheran. So this confirms that
1:02.0	President Donald Trump's father was a Germanic
1:06.0	Lutheran.
1:08.0	His family, this is the father, Fred Trump.
1:10.0	They moved to the Bronx where Frederick Trump was born on October 11th in
1:15.7	1905. They moved to Queens. At the age of 10, Fred Trump worked as a delivery boy for a butcher and he survived the
1:26.3	1918 flu pandemic from 1918 to 1920.
1:30.5	Fred attended Richmond High School in Queens and he made money on the side by serving as a curb washer, a caddy, and a delivery boy.
1:42.0	And he met his wife Mary Ann McLeod an immigrant from Scotland and
1:49.8	they met at a dance party in the early to mid-1930s.
1:55.6	Trump told his mother that same evening that he had met his future wife
1:59.6	and interestingly enough she also told her parents that she had met her future husband.
2:17.4	So even though Fred Trump was a Lutheran, Mary being from Scotland was a Presbyterian. And so they were married in 1936 at Madison Avenue Presbyterian Church and the Reverend George Arthur Butrick was the officiant at that wedding.
2:28.0	Now Mary, Donald Trump's mother, she was born in outer Hebrides in Scotland. Now where is that? You can look on the screen you can see that this is to the far north and west.
