A lot of real estate investors don't fail. They just stall out. They analyze deals, scroll

listings, maybe even make a few offers. But months turn into years without real progress.

And usually the assumption is, I just need a little bit more time. But what if that's not true?

My guest today had a full-time job, hadn't bought anything for a couple years, and felt stuck

until he changed a few key actions and bought four properties

in two years. In this episode, we break down exactly what changed and how you can apply it

even if you're busy. Here's my conversation with Luke Edwards. All right, Luke, welcome to the podcast. I want to talk about the deals you've done, the fact that in like a two-year period or so, you bought four properties, one of them you flipped, three of them you kept his rental properties.

But I'm interested for everybody to hear about you and get to know you a little bit more about that time period before that started, before I got to know you. I guess it was 2020 or so pandemic. Can you take

me back to that time period when you're actually thinking about getting started with real estate for

the first time? Yeah, sure. No. And thanks, Chad, for having me today. So I think as most folks know,

2020 was a pretty tumultuous time for a lot of folks.

I think everyone was kind of picking up new hobbies, et cetera, and kind of priorities were shifting,

I think, long term. So I think it kind of set everyone back, but also I think kind of propelled

them forward in a certain way as well. And so for me as well, the pandemic, you know, was a time for me to slow things down a little bit.

I'd actually just moved to New York the year prior.

I was there for about eight months and the pandemic hit and then went back and relocated to Charlotte, North Carolina, with my family.

And there was a lot of time to think about

priorities, et cetera, and what I wanted to do with my life long term. And so I just started

accumulating knowledge around what I can do long term that allows me to spend the most amount

of time with my friends and family, plus also be able to

provide for my future family as well, but also do this at a location where I wanted to be.

And it might not necessarily be near a city or it might need to be a little bit closer to the beach
