That was episode number 483, 5 Minute Friday.

Be a Lamplatter.

So today I met an interesting guy named Mayor.

And Mayor creates videos on social media where he does random acts of kindness, skits, and

positive inspiration to spread love to the world through these videos.

When I asked Mayor what his vision was, what his message was, why he's doing all the things

he's doing.

And he said he wants to be a Lamplatter.

He heard about a story in the past about a Lamplatter who goes around town and creates

light for all those who can't see.

And he said he wants to do that for the world.

He wants to do that for each person that sees his videos or he becomes a part of his

message who he connects with in person.

He wants to be a Lamplatter for the world.

And I thought that was a great analogy.

How do we become a Lamplatter?

You know, Thomas Monson said if you want to give the light to others, you have to glow

yourself.

So we can't actually inspire and create light and others unless we are doing things we're

inspired by and we're loving and we're in path towards our vision and mission and purpose

ourselves.

So how do we find our own light?
