Maybe you just woke up, maybe you're just rubbing the sleep out of your eyes, maybe you've already had a cup of coffee or tea, and you are ready to start getting your

mind on track.

I'm glad you're here with me.

Wherever you are, whether it's on the treadmill or in the car,

I am thankful that you are taking the initiative to get yourself aligned with the truth of God

because that is how we live the day in power and in strength as God intends. And it's interesting using those words that I just did,

power and strength. We tend to think of someone who's standing tall and erect with their muscles bulging with themselves

as the master of their own destiny, maybe kind of like Captain America or somewhere like that.

But my friends, that's not where power and strength come from.

It's not from our posture, it's not from our muscles, it's not even from a sense of

confidence we have internally that we can handle what's coming up for the day.

It comes from, believe it or not, a deep found sense of humility. For the believer in Christ our power flows out of the fact that

we can do nothing apart from Christ. And you see our confidence is being placed in Him. The Creator of all that is. He has the

power. He has the wisdom. He has the strength to do all things and when we rely on him to be our source and

our guide then and only then are we able to live in power and in strength?

That is the theme we've been talking about in these most recent episodes of the morning

mindset.
