I don’t need to tell you there is a lot of noise right now. So. Much. Noise. I want to encourage you (while I’m also encouraging myself, lol) to step back from the noise to become a better critical thinker. It’s easy to let the high emotions of this election season (and the pandemic and the cultural revolution) cause us to react in knee jerk ways. But that is not effective or productive. Instead of knee jerk reactions, the best gift we can give ourselves and those who might benefit from the value of our voice, is to LISTEN. Rather than adding to the noise, listen for a moment before you speak. And then, when you do speak, speak in a way that creates space for others to listen and be in conversation with you. Speak with well formulated thoughts that can actually have impact. Speak with your authentic voice that will allow others to learn and grow with you. And after you speak, sit back and restore your head and your heart in order to get back to listening. 0:52.3	Hello, Shameless moms. Happy Monday. Happy October. Happy pumpkin spiced everything. I am sitting here in my office, and it's gray and gloomy and foggy. And I have two dogs snoring next to me. So it feels very fallish. And if you hear dog snoring, enjoy.
1:12.0	Welcome to my life.
1:13.7	It's funny, Danny is 14 and a half and has only started snoring in her last couple
1:18.2	years of life.
1:18.9	And we got Piper, the puppy, who's four months old.
1:21.8	And sometimes frequently, actually, she snores just as loud as Danny.
1:26.8	I didn't know that an 11-pound dog could do that.
1:30.4	It's been pretty entertaining. So here they are right next to me. It is October. Holy cow.
1:35.6	Time is going so fast and so slow all at once. And here we are. And so we are in October. We're in the last

1:48.4	We are in the, is it the seventh or the eighth month of a pandemic, depending on when you started measuring pandemic time.
1:50.6	We're still in the middle of a cultural revolution, which only seems to be getting
1:54.4	more and more heated as our political candidates talk about it.
1:58.3	We're at the, in the fourth quarter of the year of 2020. And holy cow,
2:04.8	so many things happening, so many things going on. And it continues to be big and overwhelming and
2:10.1	relentless and exhausting and endless as I'll get out. And so if you're feeling any of that or
