Proverbs chapter 20 verse 7 says the righteous who walks in his integrity

So I think about that as a dad, whether or not I'm walking in integrity will have an effect on my kids.

So it doesn't just affect my life, my relationship with God, my walking in integrity, has an effect on my kids and their relationship

with God. Their relationship with me obviously as well so this is just a good

reminder and we see this all over scripture but as we

walk with God so this isn't just pertaining to dads and their kids or even moms

and their kids but all of us our walk with God has an effect on the people

around us particularly the people who are influenced by us. This is a picture of leadership where we see in scripture. When a

leader is walking with God, it has a fruitful effect on followers. When a

leader is not walking with God, it has a disastrous effect on followers.

So that's what this proverb is talking about in the family, and it pertains to so many different

spheres.
