Hey friends, Alisa Childers here. What's up with everyone's obsession with Richard Roer?

He's a Franciscan friar who seems to be promoting some unbiblical ideas. Recently he was a guest

on the Gen Hat Maker podcast and today, Marshall Montenegrou and I are going to offer our thoughts

on that episode in just a moment.

If you haven't heard of the Mama Bear apologetics book that's coming out on June 4th, I just want to encourage you to go to Amazon

and put Mama Bear apologetics into the search bar there and pre-order this book. I know Mother's Day is coming up

and it comes out after Mother's Day. But what you can do is pre-order it for a friend, maybe give them a card with a little note inside saying that the book is coming, maybe throw a gift card for some coffee in there.

It would be a great gift for the mothers in your life. I, along with several other contributors led by our general editor Hilary Ferrer of Mama Bear apologetics, have put together a book that we hope and pray were really help moms

to help their kids to navigate some of the insane ideas that they are being confronted with in their culture, even at really, really young ages.

So there are chapters on post-modernism, there are chapters on Marxism, there are chapters on naturalism and skepticism.

And I contributed to chapters one is on new spirituality, which is basically good old fashioned new age, but with a modern makeover, we see it everywhere.

And often it's called Christian or even couched in Christian language. And the other chapter I wrote was one on progressive Christianity, which just basically gives moms a general overview and how to recognize some of those ideas in the materials that are marketed to their kids.

And then I also contributed to the feminism chapter, three of us took three of us to tackle that one. But I just think it would be a great resource. And here's the thing that I love about it as well, is that when you read this book, it is not going to read like a stuffy academic book.

There's going to be plenty of information for deep thinkers. It's not light in the sense that it's just pedestrian and for kindergarteners.

It's definitely got some really meaty information, but it's written in a way that makes you feel like you're just sitting down for coffee with another mom.

It's Hillary, who's the general editor there. She is witty and funny. And so we've all kind of tried to write in that voice where it's going to just feel like you're sitting down and chatting over coffee laughing.

And I think it's going to be a great resource. So check that out on Amazon, get it for the mothers in your life. If your mom get it for yourself, it's really going to end up being a gift for your kids because of all you're going to learn and be able to apply to your parenting.

It's Richard Roar this and Richard Roar that I'm seeing posts about him, posts singing his praises, his blog posts, things just shared all over social media. It seems like everybody has an obsession with Richard Roar right now.

And so Marsha has really dug in. She's read, we both actually read one of his books. And but she's really dug in with his blog and really trying to get to the bottom of what he believes. And we've touched on it.
