You may of never heard of Eric but i will tell you this he has played with everyone.

Eric has toured with the Legend of Funk himself Mr George Clinton and the P-Funk All Stars.

McFadden has worked with Les Claypool, Joe Strummer, The Reverend Horton Heat, The Coup, Galactic, Keb Mo, Bernie Worrell, Pat MacDonald, Fishbone, Widespread Panic, Jackson Browne, Nels Cline, and Mike Watt, among many others.

This mans own music is also fantastic and back in the day my band and his band Liar would play weekly together all over San Francisco.

There's just there's just not enough talk about how great friends are old friends new friends friends that come and go friends that go away enemies and then become friends again all that stuff brings and craze.

I realize what joy people can bring to you in a conversation if you haven't seen somebody for years say 20 years I have not seen this man and then you run into that person and boom it opens this giant massive memory bank of great old good times.

This is my friend today Mr. Eric McFad and absolute guitar genius a grinder a workaholic I can relate to this man so much he's been working all his life and probably 99% of you don't know who he is and I feel the same way I work every day.

And you're out there just going is anything going to ever happen but at the end of the day you realize it has been happening it's been happening my whole life it's been happening all of Eric's life and that is the thing of doing art and going through life doing exactly what you want to do no boss no rules just a complete art explosion that is what Eric McFadness is doing.

I've been doing his whole life since I met him back in the 90s in San Francisco an incredible guitar player he's played with George Clinton Eric burden in the animals Reverend Horton heat keb Mo widespread panic nails Klein Mike what Joe strummer.

Yes you did not hear that wrong he has played with Joe strummer he has banned open for Joe strummer he hung out with Joe strummer the only guy I know that's done that incredible guest tons of music out there and it was a fantastic day to sit down with this man and catch up and dig way deep back into the great rock and roll scene of the 90s in San Francisco.

I feel very blessed that I was part of that scene and had friends like Eric and every night would just be out playing live music it's crazy to think about every night load up the fucking amp the guitar and head down and sound check eat a $5 burrito and then play rock music wow what a concept.
