Today on the show, actor Mike McShane shares a story about working in restaurants and trying to get ahead.

And as a hot summer war on, I was back behind the dishwasher machine again.

And a human environment of moisture, grease, and soap for eight hours combined with no ventilation.

But there was hope on my horizon.

And one day Mr. Spath called me into his office and pointed to the file cabinet,

hanging on the top cabinet handle, was a short-sleeved white shirt and a pre-tied bowtie.

I looked at them, and then to Mr. Spath, who was smiling knowingly at me. I was being

made a busboy. The shirt was enough, but I had a tie, which in the restaurant business was a

badge of trust and access to the front where the people were. Today on Storyworthy, actor Mike
