Hi and welcome to this episode of the Recharge Series from the Be Still and Beloved

together we will listen to what God has to say, bring our focus to our

breathing and allow our bodies to reset and recharge. I would like you to find a comfortable position, maybe sitting in a chair,

resting on your couch, or even lying in your bed.

Let's begin by feeling our breath move in and out.

Just start to take notice of how the air comes in through your nose, into your chest,

and then out again through your nose or your mouth.

As you continue to focus on your breath, may I tell you a story?

A friend of mine who was seven years old was having a hard time speaking without yelling

when it came to her older brother and sister. She felt left out a lot, but instead of telling them

with her words and working it out together, she would get really mad, then hit,

yell, and holler at them.

When it came to her friends, things were a little bit better,

but she would often get her feelings hurt

and then throw a fit about how they weren't including her.

She was really good at acting in her big emotions,

scared, but she didn't know how to put them into words. Maybe you can relate. I know I can because that little girl was me.

See I didn't know then but I now know that our feelings are big emotions can teach us.

They don't have to rule over us. They can be like undercover detectives that tell us what's going on behind the scenes.
