Hey Chris, this is Mariana from Barcelona.

I'm here with my Latina struggling with European systems and moving different countries to do what I love,

which is treat and help people with borderline personality disorders and suicidal problems.

I just came back from Switzerland where I met 12 wonderful young clinician PhD students

that are working also in making this a better world for people with mental suicidal problems

and there were three very inspiring professors who, on their free vacation time,

they just came to teachers and courage and inspires to continue in this path,

despite the struggles of having to have like three different jobs to keep on research

and fighting for visas and non-Europeans and tons of things.

I wanted to use this time because I wish there could be more that I could do to say that

there is a way outside of suicide and we, young researchers are doing their best during treatments

for those who we haven't reached or those who previous treatments has failed.

I know that this world needs more kindness. I have been desperate and hopeless

and from my piece of pain that I have experience, I can say that still,

even if it's tough, there is a way to build a life worth living.

So keep strong, keep smiling and give kindness to others.

You never know what flight they're going through and you can make a difference

through what to do this day for them, hugs to everybody.
