Yeah, I absolutely hated serving for quite a while.

It was like a relationship with someone that you were deeply in love with and that just completely fell apart.

I realized, okay, I just want to have fun.

And to be able to not have that approach to where you have to kick ass every time you paddle out

or be at a certain level was something I had to really let go of

and find the fun in surfing and find the solitude and the freedom in it again.
