| 0:37.5 | location. We're here at Utah Lighthouse Ministries in downtown Salt Lake City with Sandra Tanner. |
| 0:47.1 | For those of you who don't know, Sandra and her beloved husband Gerald are kind of famous |
| 0:55.2 | throughout Mormonism and someone say infamous for the ministries which they created many, many years |
| 1:01.9 | ago. They started struggling with their faith in the church, let's just say in the 50s and started |
| 1:09.8 | their ministries in the 60s and they've been sort of labeled as the anti-Mormon sort of of the 20th |
| 1:19.1 | and 21st centuries within the church for many, many decades. Many believing Mormons who are raised |
| 1:25.7 | in the church were taught to view them as scary and as sinister and as evil people. |
| 1:33.0 | And that's one perspective, but many of the people that I've spoken with have interacted with |
| 1:39.2 | the Tanner's over the years and have found them to be delightful and honest and caring people. |
| 1:46.3 | And so the purpose of this interview is today is to ask some questions to Sandra to learn |
| 1:51.2 | about her life, about Gerald's life, to learn more about their motivations for where they started |
| 1:56.1 | UTLM and to learn about all the many ways in which they were sort of in the middle of almost |
