Welcome back, everybody, to The Incomparable podcast.

In this episode, our book club has reconvened to talk about a different set of awards.

We were here to talk about the Nebula

awards for science fiction and fantasy. Well, guess what? There's also the Hugo Awards,

and we're going to talk about them too. And mostly the novels, but we'll probably throw in some

other stuff if we have opinions about any of the other stuff. The awards will be given out

in Dublin, Ireland, in, I guess later this month, I'll put it that way, later this month.

Joining me to talk about the Hugo nominees for novel and other things are the following wonderful people.

Scott, you've had children, you'll never read again.

That is what they tell me. I know I'm going to read a lot, except the books are going to be much shorter, and they'll have many more pictures.

Yes, and rhymes, and the words will be smaller.

It's like I'm reading graphic novels like all the kids are doing.

That's okay. We're going to work through it together. This may be a podcast where four people spend an hour trying to remember what happened in that book they read a long time ago.
