We are continuing with sort of romantic movie month this week

with 2012's The Val. Yes, not to be confused with the property that is about nexium the cult.

This is a Nicholas Sparks property starring Channing Tatum and Rachel McAdams based on the real

life story of Cricket and Carl, it's another K name, a real-life couple who experienced what happens in this

movie where they were in a major car crash and Cricket lost her memory and subsequently

all memory of their relationship and marriage. And they ended up coming back together,

although they did later divorce because of an affair.

This movie is really interesting to me because it seems to me to be the studio saying,

what if we just took the part of the notebook that everyone's saying that they like, the part with the old couple, and then realizing that's sad and we don't want to. So what if we make

this traumatic brain injury a bit sexy, a bit fun and sexy? And I don't know how I feel about it

as a result. Why did you put this on the list? I mean, I think I feel exactly the same way as you do,

which is that like this is presented as a romantic movie, but mostly

it's really sad. This is, like, like, the trailers were all showing the parts of, like, I got to make

my wife fall in love with me again. And so you go, thinking, like, that's what you're going to see.

And instead, it's just a really sad story about a man whose wife dies, but her body's still up walking around.

I think I took it as a bit less sad than you, but I'm really interested in this perspective,
