Mac Power Users, episode 471, menu bars, docks, startup apps, oh my!

Hello everyone, this is David Sparks along with my

pal Stephen Hackett how you doing Stephen? I'm doing well you've read that

exactly how I was hoping you would. Oh did I? Well you know it's it just, we got talking, this kind of arose out of a conversation,

Steve and I were having about stuff we have on our menu bars and I am, I have a problem

with my menu bar. I'll have to make some some admissions here. I can't get enough of them

Barchinder is the great enabler in my life.

We'll talk about that as well.

But we got talking about it, and we both had quite a few apps.

It's been a long time since we've covered our power users

and most of mine have changed.

And we haven't heard about Stephen's menu bar yet,

so here we are gang. We're going to talk about menu bars. What we've got in our menu bars today.

We're going to go through what we're keeping in our docks and not keeping in our docks and also the startup apps. So if you want to get geeky with your Mac, this is a good

episode to listen to. Mm-hmm. And this is one of those things too that really stands the Mac and

IOS apart, where the Mac can be doing all these things in the background,

little utilities that are always running, where I wish just doesn't have a paradigm for that yet and

may probably never will I think in my opinion but this is one of

those things where like the Mac sort of stands alone in its capabilities and and one

reason for me the Mac is still home-based for work because a lot of these things

I depend on just being there whenever I reach for them.
