| 1:02.2 | But before I dive in, I do want to take a moment to give a quick |
| 1:05.4 | preface. We're going to be discussing the experience of womanhood and medicine, predominantly |
| 1:10.4 | from the perspective of our interviewees, all of whom are practicing physicians, and all of whom self-identify as women. |
| 1:17.0 | I want to acknowledge that this is a narrow sample group and is not representative of all women. |
| 1:23.0 | The experience of being a woman is broad and complex. |
| 1:26.0 | It encompasses folks who don't identify on a gender binary. |
| 1:30.0 | Those who feel that these designations of women or man can't fully capture who they are as people. |
| 1:35.6 | So while today's interviews may not be comprehensive, I do hope that this podcast is going to serve as a starting point |
| 1:41.2 | for, a much larger conversation about how gender relates to |
| 1:44.8 | our work as clinicians. Okay, on to the main event. As Shreya mentioned, we'll be stepping away from clinical medicine for today. |
