Hi, this is John Joseph Adams. I'm the editor of Lightspeed and Fantasy magazine and of several anthologies such as

armored which is about soldiers going to war in necks and power armor and under

the moons of Mars which details the further adventures of John Carter of

Mars. And I'm David Barr Curley.

I'm the author of many short stories including Save Me Please, about a young woman who goes searching

for her ex-boyfriend, who disappeared after becoming obsessed with an online role-playing game. The story

originally appeared in realms of Fantasy of Fantasy the Best of the Year

2008. The story also appeared as episode 124 of the Escape Pod Podcast.

And our guest today is Neil Stevenson.

He's the author of such books as Snow Crash, The Diamond Age,

Cryptonomicon, The Baroque Cycle, and Anatham.

He's currently collaborating with Greg Bear and others on an online fiction project called The

Mongolia, and his latest book, Reimdi, is about a money-making scam inside an online

role-playing game that spins wildly out of control.
