Summary

An elderly lady's enthusiasm for plant life has become a source of frustration and contention for certain folks in the neighborhood.

"The Occupiers" is the second episode in a series sprouted from our 2019/2020 season premiere, In the Garden. It was recorded live 9/29/19.

0:39.3	Do you ever notice in urban environments or wherever cement or asphalt is laid, there are plants
0:48.0	that find a way to somehow adapt, coexist, or somehow push through, ivy that clings to old edifices, a plant, finding the
0:59.5	smallest crack in a sidewalk or in a brick wall, defying the impossible, finding a way to persist
1:06.6	despite the very human obstacles in its way.
1:13.8	In the following play, the occupiers were about to find out just how resilient
1:17.2	and unpredictable our green co-inhabitants can be.
1:21.3	Music Hello? Are you who I think you are? Excuse me? Are you who I think you are?
1:45.2	Excuse me?
1:46.3	Are you who I think you are?
1:48.4	Well, I don't know. Who do you think I am?
1:51.5	Well, a little deductive reasoning goes a long way. You're not anyone I recognize from this neighborhood.
1:58.4	You're dressed a certain way.
2:00.0	Take a look at those pressed slacks and that
2:02.4	snazzy eyes odd shirt of yours. Well, that's a look that says, I'm on the job. You look just like
2:09.3	the type of person I told them at the town hall this end. And what type of person is that? A real tiger, a go-getter,
2:16.3	someone who will set things straight.
2:18.3	Okay, well, you sized me up, all right?
