The Hello and welcome to mini episode number 467 of real live ghost stories. And I have two spooky

stories for you today and the last story comes from the 30th of April 2025. And story

number one comes from Brianna. My first experience happened

when I was about nine or ten years old, and I consider it my first spooky encounter. I grew up

in the woods of northern Wisconsin in the US. My family had several acres which connected to our

neighbour's land, so we had our own

little forest to explore. And while we lived about a quick seven-minute drive to our little town

and had neighbours close enough to see through the trees on a good day, it felt well isolated at my

childhood home. It was the kind of place where you didn't feel you had to lock

your doors at night. My neighbour was my childhood best friend and we loved to have sleepovers. We would

meet each other halfway on the wooded trail between our houses and walked together to whoever's

house it was that night. One weekend my parents were to be gone overnight,

so they decided to ask my neighbour and her older sister,

who was about six years older than me,

to spend the night with my sister and me to watch over us.

This was the first time we were given this kind of independence,

and so naturally I was thrilled.

It felt like a big sleepover. As such, we decided to watch

a scary movie in our basement. I had always loved scary things, even as a child. But the movie,

it was the movie Mama, did freak me out quite a bit, especially because it was just us girls around.

The movie ended and we were all feeling a bit of that post-horror film anxiety when we heard a loud crash from the floor above us,
