0:08.5	The captain of the guard took Jeremiah and said to him,
0:11.8	the Lord your God pronounced this disaster against this place.
0:18.3	All throughout the book of Jeremiah, he was ridiculed, rejected, because he was bringing messages of judgment, of coming disaster,
0:29.2	and people did not want to hear it.
0:31.4	But he proclaimed it faithfully day after day as God told him to.
0:36.5	And so you get to Jeremiah 40 and this captain takes Jeremiah aside and says,

0:44.0	God pronounced this.
0:46.0	You spoke what God said.
0:50.0	When I read this verse, I am reminded that the word of God will always prove true.
0:58.0	And those who trust in His word and proclaim his word will always be vindicated in time.
1:08.5	We can know that what God has said will come to pass.
1:14.0	And there are days when we wonder.
1:16.6	When God's word is rejected around us,
1:21.0	or God's word doesn't seem popular.
1:24.4	We begin to question, we begin to doubt God's word, it's truth, its reliability, and
1:30.8	Jeremiah 40 verse 2 is a reminder to us.
1:35.0	Don't doubt the word of God.
1:38.0	Trust the word of God.
1:40.0	Don't reject the word of God.
