0:21.3	The minute I walked into this room, that's the first thing that I remembered.
0:24.8	So those things stays with you so deeply when you die on stage.
0:28.8	It is so deep in your bones that I still now, 35 years later, remember that walking into this room.
0:34.6	I think people don't realize that.
0:36.2	They think and they always give advice like, oh, take the good with the bad.
0:40.4	You have to treat one like the other with equanimity.
0:43.7	But when you bomb or die, it's like the audience is rejecting you personally.
0:48.8	Your inner being, your soul, your everything that you are is being completely rejected.
0:54.7	Yeah.
0:55.7	The first thing I ever saw as a stand up, who just went on stage and just opened, ripped his guts open.
1:03.7	And his heart just let it all out there.
1:06.0	And that was so inspiring to me as a comedian.
1:08.8	Because to me, that was always my goal, is to just open myself in a way that left me completely vulnerable to them rejecting me.
1:18.2	But luckily, more often than not, they didn't.
1:25.7	But this was something we were looking forward to alongside.
