Welcome back, everybody, to The Incomparable.

I'm your host, Jason Snell, and we are in TV season wrap-up season,

where all these shows that we watch and want to talk about are

finishing their seasons and we therefore spend several weeks in the spring talking about the

seasons gone by of various TV shows. And in this episode, we're going to be talking about

the sci-fi channels, excellent TV series, The Magicians. Now, the season four just concluded we will fire off the spoiler horn in a little bit.

But I feel like before we do that, we once again, as we did last year when we talked about

season three, are going to need to spend a little time explaining, one, what is the show

if you haven't heard of it at all?

Two, if you watched like part of season one, we're like, yeah, whatever, it's kind of

dirty Harry Potter, whatever.

Not dirty Harry like Clint Eastwood, dirty Harry.

I like to call it sexy Cussy Harry Potter.

Yeah, imagine Clint Eastwood with a wand.

That's dirty Harry Potter.

Anyway, we'll get into it, but I will say, I feel like this is a show that has had one of the more remarkable trajectories in terms of getting better every season.

And so you might want to give it another look if you've only given it the initial glance.

So we'll talk about the magicians in general a little bit, and then season four in particular.
