Hello there friends, listeners, side hustle school community. Welcome back. We're going to start a

0:36.5

brand new week today. My name is Chris Gellibot. This is episode 464 of the show. Starting out with

0:42.1

a strong story as we try to do every week. Today is all about a college student who starts an

0:46.8

historic letter subscription service. Really, really smart project is doing something fine and

0:51.8

it's actually quite scalable. I don't think every side hustle needs to be scalable. There are lots of

0:57.5

episodes, lots of features we do about somebody who does something that's going to go on to make

1:05.9

in a short period of time, but because of the nature of it, it's not going to be sustainable,

1:09.5

1:14.4

somebody creates a project that has a potential at least to not only be an initial success, but to be

1:19.0

a recurring success, typically with recurring revenue, which we'll talk about, but also something

1:23.9

that can grow and serve a lot of people over time. That's exactly what we've got today with this

1:27.6

story, a student who caches in on his love of history by mailing beautifully designed letters

1:32.1

to monthly subscribers. Along the way, he learned some important lessons about gift items,

1:36.8

automation, and not listening to customers when they say they want something.

1:41.4

Good lessons there, so stay tuned. I'll say thanks to today's sponsor, and then I'll bring you

1:45.2

this story. The search is heating up for the people who make football better. People like Sally
