and opinions that I felt the need to share. The reason at least that I started my own business

was to be able to spend more time with my wife and kids. I wanted to be available for every

kid milestone, every first step, the first time riding a bike, every baseball game or basketball game, first

words and funny phrases that my kids say all the time. Eating meals with my family, which includes

breakfast, lunch, and dinner, playing outside with my kids during the day before it's dark,

being able to go boating on a Tuesday or Thursday or go skiing on a Wednesday.

And the beauty of it is I don't need a multi, multi-million dollar business to do those things.

I don't need the fanciest boat to enjoy boating twice a week.

I don't even need a ski pass at the nicest ski resort to go skiing every once in a while on a weekday.

I don't need season tickets to the Utah Jazz to enjoy basketball games every once in a while.

But I'll never be able to enjoy any of those things if I simply don't have the time.

Here's four practical principles that I like for building a business that supports family,
