The Japanese have this great word, Fudukasai, which we would translate it as old-fashioned.

What it literally translates to is it stinks like old and and I do think that there's a certain amount of all this taking it slow discourse and I think the reason why it leaves a bad taste in some people's mouths is that it can feel like it's this old-fashioned thing that it doesn't really speak to modern dating or feminism.
