Hey, quick and final reminder of skin cancer awareness month. Be a responsible adult and know your

spots. Keep tabs on the spots on your body. Do regular skin checks when you get out of the shower.

Just see if anything looks abnormal. People die of skin cancer unnecessarily. It is avoidable,

and it's preventable through early detection.

We've given you the ABCs of skin checks this month, but now it's time for me to tell you that you should go see a dermatologist, at least yearly.

I go twice a year because I have fair skin and I'm kind of constantly exposed to the sun. But I'd imagine that

even if you have the best of intentions to see a dermatologist regularly, people forget or they

just neglect to schedule these things until they're prompted. So this is your prompt. Make the

If his name isn't familiar to you, his work

probably is. He's a highly influential graphic designer, both inside and outside of the

surf industry. He began his career at Trans World Skateboarding Magazine, which then led to work

at Surfer Magazine, who then supported the short-lived but very much revered Raygun magazine.

Carson's had wild success outside of the surf industry with clients like Audi, Armani, Yale

University. He's done album cover art for Nine Inch Nails. He was invited to do TED Talks

way back in 2003 when those were reserved

for the very few top performers in a given industry. And I was actually connected with Carson

through Matt Parker at Album Surfboards, who did a collaboration project of surfboards

with Carson's art on them back in May of 2018. It was actually the same year that

Carson was inducted into the East Coast Surfing Hall of Fame. And it's also the year that we
