Greg, this is a band you have a lot of history with. You wrote the biography of Wilco learning how to die. It's always a weird thing when you spend that much

time with a group when you talk to their parents and everyone in their family.

There's a certain level of intimacy that brings you close but also results in some awkwardness and it was you know here

we are with Jeff his son his wife Sue Miller who used to own the club right up the

street from where we were taping live, lounge acts.

It was kind of a family reunion, including you.

Yeah, it was interesting because it was the first in-depth discussion I've had with Jeff,

believe it or not, since the book was published ten years ago so there was some

weirdness beforehand wondering how is this going to go

and uh... you know i think the results speak for themselves it was a great

evening for all of us i think in a lot of ways i think people enjoy
