Join Alisa as she interviews a woman after God's heart, Paula Faris. In the summer of 2018, at the height of her career, Paula Faris stepped down from not one, but two dream jobs—her roles as co-anchor on the weekend edition of Good Morning America and co-host of The View, as she felt God calling her out of a vicious cycle of being addicted to work. And for what? To find the answer to a question that haunted her: who was she apart from her job?
In her first book, Called Out: Why I Traded Two Dream Jobs for a Life of True Calling, Faris recounts her rise to the top of broadcast journalism, the moment she knew she had to make a change, and how her life changed when she leaned in to God’s purpose and true calling for her life.
In Called Out, readers will discover the difference between their faith and vocational callings, how to move past the fear that holds them back, and be encouraged by others’ stories of overcoming obstacles to walk a path of purpose.
