Hi guys, we're back.

I know two weeks ago on the last episode I said I would be here for Thanksgiving.

Don't worry about it.

But about, I don't know, 45 minutes after I finished recording the episode, some awful news and one of my oldest friends

passed away last Friday, two Fridays ago. Yeah, on the 17th of November, which like literally

I think I stopped. I like turned in this episode at 9 p.m. that Friday and then by 9.30 I got the phone call and

you know my life just got turned upside down. I ended up having to go home over the holiday, but it

wasn't for the holiday. It was for the funeral and I just did not have it in me to travel home

and do a podcast.

And it sucks.

Life has been really shitty for the last two weeks.

I mean, there have been good parts.

Going home and seeing all my friends and kind of reconnecting with people and

collectively grieving is like really beautiful.

But it's just been fucking sad, dude. Like, uh, you know, we had been friends since we were five years old.

I spoke at the funeral, which was like really hard.
