Hello everybody and welcome to the 40th, oh I've lost my words, 46th ever episode of

Shut Up and Sit Down, the podcast, a podcast all about board games, card games, table games,

if you like any of those things, you're in the right E place, which is short for electronic

place. This isn't going to be an ideal episode. This was meant to be our first live podcast

at GenCon 2016, pumped straight into your ears, but what happened is our primary recording

device failed. So what we've got coming up is a good 30 minutes recorded with the backup

recording device. It's not as good, but hopefully if you listen to it for a couple of

minutes you'll forget it's bad and it'll be fine and if you can deal with that you've

got myself Paul and our hilarious miniatures game correspondent Eric Tonjes who used to

be from Nebraska. Now he's not so I don't even know how to describe him. We're talking

about the Arkham Horror LCG, the new Roon Wars miniatures game. We're talking about

Pandemic Cthulhu, the Conan miniatures game lots and lots of good stuff. Before in the

live show we did a trivia competition with our fans and a lovely man called Ben won all

sorts of games for knowing Shut Up and Sit Down quite literally better than I did. But

because those people weren't mic trained the audio really goes to pieces there so we're

going to cut that off after half an hour, but you may have noticed that this episode is

longer than 30 minutes and that is because Paul and myself have an interview with the

perhaps unparalleled board game designer, the Czech Vlad Fattil designer of Major Night

with code names, of Spacela, of Galaxy Chucker. He is maybe if we had to decide as like a

Gestalt Entity Paul and my favourite board game designer working today. So if you like
