It's a phrasal verb, T-U-R-N-I-N.

To turn in.

So one definition of turn in is to give your work or your assignment to your boss or to your teacher.

So if you've been working on a proposal or working on a report and you give it to your boss or your teacher, you are turning it in to turn in.

Another definition of turn in is to go to sleep.

So what time do you turn in? Me, I usually turn in about 11 p.m. I usually go to bed at around

11 p.m. Tonight, I'm feeling pretty tired, so I'm going to turn in early. So turn in as a phrasal verb is a very useful verb. And I want you to practice this expression. But first, let's listen to a dialogue.
