I didn't expect to be looking for a job quite honestly but then when that day

happened I mean immediately there were a lot of opportunities there's been some

speculation out there that you might bring in Barry Odom the highly respected coach from Missouri. Can you comment on that?

Paul, I felt like I needed a guy on my staff that had been a head coach. I've known Sam Pittman a long time.

I wanted to match up with him and when that became real that that was an opportunity

that jumped to the top of the list

and

really kind of put everything else on the back burner

ended up getting a head coach job in Missouri and he'd a real deal. And what a

hire it seems to be for Arkansas coach Sam Pittman to land Odom as his defensive coordinator.

Odom had a lot of options after his time at Missouri came to a close, but he chose to be

a hog.
