Hello, everybody out and there in the world.

It is I, Mark Bernardin, and welcome to another episode of Black Man Beyond, which tends to happen, if you're a long-time

listener, first-time caller or not, when the great and mighty wonderful Kevin Smith is on the

road in the world out there doing Kevin Smith shit.

So then when that happens, you get me.

So here I am.

It's me.

Let me see what I can tell you about what has been going on in my world before we get to the meat of the show. And by meet, I mean both M-E-A-T and M-E-E-E-T, because I'm about to introduce you to somebody who I'm hoping that you have met before. But if you haven't, this is my great pleasure to introduce you to my newest friend.

I don't make friends often because I'm an old man and I'm a bit of a miser and I'm like,

get off my lawn kind of dude. So, you know, new friends aren't like just dropping off trees.

Because you also like as an adult, you forget how to make friends I think that was a especially if

you were an awkward kid in like junior high in high school and college and you were like making

friends was never your jam but it's good to kind of exercise those muscles it's it's it's one of the

things I like about being a TV writer is that like every six

months I have to make new friends because every job is about six months long. And it's like, all right, it's, it's a, it's a new job. Okay, I'm going to a new camp. I got to meet all these new kids and hopefully we'll get together and hang out and the rain won't make us angry and we'll all eat lunch together and it'll be fun.

Most of the time it is, sometimes it's not.

But, you know, it's fucking grown out and the rain won't make us angry and we'll all eat lunch together and it'll be fun most of the

and hit somebody um is what i told somebody earlier today who was complaining about uh no he wasn't

i was complaining he had mentioned there was some some piece that a critic had written about the the

unearthed nine episodes

of Joey, the friend spinoff that just dropped and was uncovered on the internet.
