We are in the thick of seed starting season, at least here in the south, Atlanta, Georgia is where I am.

But if you're not there yet, you will be getting there soon if you're a seed starter.

And I've been talking a lot about what I've been doing with my seed sewing lately and especially with the soil

blocking. I'm getting a lot of questions about that as I'm posting to Instagram and making

YouTube videos. And the question comes up now a lot about what's the benefit of using soil blocks

over plastic? You know, why should I switch or why should I consider switching?

And so I thought it would be a good idea to address that specific question. And not to say that

one is better than another, but to explore the pros and cons of soil blocks and plastic so that

you can make the proper decision. And I would start off by saying it's not an either

or. It's a matter of which works best for you for that time. And maybe you're using both.

So we'll talk about when that scenario would come into play and some other things that I think

you will find interesting at least. and maybe that will sway you in one

direction or the next. I'm not here to convince you or sell you on one method over the other,

but I want to put out the issues and talk about them. And then if you have some feedback,

I would love to hear that. So if you're watching this on YouTube, please leave those in the

comments as you think about them to add.

And maybe I can address them at a future time.
