As you guys will recall with last week's show, we gave some background to Sherman's

raid on Meridian Mississippi in February 1864.

And if we didn't know before that William Tecumse Sherman was a polarizing figure,

then we certainly would have, after reading the comments on Facebook.

In fact, once it became obvious, there were a fair number of people incapable of having a civil discussion about him, we turned off the comments on the post.

And we blocked a few of the more obnoxious jerks, which is strangely satisfying in an omnipotent sort of way.
