decade. How did you discover Gilles Carl? Because almost a decade, I first heard of his existence,

kind of, when not Vinegar Syndrome, but one of their partner labels, Canadian National Pictures,

put out a box set or a DVD set that had, it was called the other French New Wave,

and it collected several films made in Quebec in the 1960s that were tapping into the

spirit of the quiet revolution and were also inspired by some of the energy in, you know,

the new waves across Europe. That's when I heard about him for the first time. I think I heard

started just like digging deep into Canadian cinema. Maybe when I was working at the Canadian

Screen Awards. And like if you look into the late 60s, early 70s, his name is going to be everywhere.
