I was around the age of 18 when this happened.

This takes place in my hometown in rural Oregon.

The town's name is Elkton. Not like that matters, you probably never heard of it.

The town has a population of less than a thousand people, and consists of a restaurant,

a bar, a store, a park, and a post office.

All surrounded by scattered farmland.

Nothing bad ever really happens there, and everyone knows each other.

At this point of my life I was lazy. I had no job, no car, still lived with my mom,

and smoked a lot of weed. A certified loser.
