Summary
I returned from a trip abroad last week and checked on the seeds I had started before I went away. Some seedlings struggled in my absence more than others, and it gave me a few ideas for seed starting tips that I wanted to share with you. On this episode, I'll be supplementing last week's encore on preparing for seed starting season with more important things to know.

| 0:00.0 | Hi, everybody. I'm Joe Lampel, the Joe Behind Joe Gardner, and welcome to the Joe Gardner show. |
| 0:04.3 | Last week's episode was an encore on getting ready for seeds starting, and I recorded that a year ago. |
| 0:09.9 | But the information was very relevant then as it was last week when it aired again. I was out of the country, |
| 0:16.0 | and I wanted to share that with you because, as you know, we're getting ready for that time of year where we're |
| 0:20.9 | sewing our seeds. And there's a lot of good meat in there that you could use and apply it to your |
| 0:26.4 | process coming up. No matter where you are, whether you're a brand new seed starter or you've been at |
| 0:30.9 | it a while, I think I had some things in there that probably includes everybody that was watching |
| 0:35.9 | or listening. Now, since then, I've had a chance to go |
| 0:38.8 | back and listen to that again. And having a full week back in the country, I also was heavily |
| 0:45.9 | involved in my seed starting and thought of a few things that I could have added to that or wanted |
| 0:50.4 | to add to that, which is what this episode is about. So really, this is going to piggyback on that episode. |
| 0:56.3 | So if you haven't heard or watched episode number 453, go ahead and do that at some point, |
| 1:01.4 | preferably before this one, but either way, this one piggybacks on that. |
| 1:05.0 | So both of them complement each other. |
| 1:07.2 | So today I'm going to share with you a few things that I thought of over the week that I wanted to add on. |
| 1:13.8 | So that's the plan. |
| 1:15.3 | And so let's get into that. |
| 1:16.4 | And as we do, thanks to our sponsors for today's episode, Soil Cube, and the Online Gardening Academy. |
| 1:23.1 | You probably know by now, having access to high-quality compost is my not-so-secret weapon |
| 1:29.0 | for the success of everything I grow in my garden. And that's why I'm so proud to be partnering |
| 1:33.9 | with Soil Cubed. If you live in their delivery zones within Georgia, North Carolina, South |
| 1:39.0 | Carolina, Tennessee, most of Alabama, and for some of my Texas listeners, Soil Cubed is now in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, so this message is for you. |
