This is, this book is very, I think, tricky for a, particularly a Western audience.

Because if you will remember from the previous episode, this is a philosophical work.

But unlike 100% of our style of

philosophy here in Western culture, it is not

abstract. It is rooted in the

material world, both in its metaphors and how

it reasons things out. And not only

that, this book is possibly the only biblical book that has a individualistic lens.

Kohelet is a radical individualist.

Now, that does not mean that she has the exact same culture of individualism that we're brought up in,

but it's easy for us sometimes to not be aware of
