Director of Technology and Citizen Science at the Astronomical Society of the Pacific

and the Director of Cosmic West.

Hey Pamela, how are you doing?

I'm doing well, how are you doing?

Do you finally have summer?

Oh yeah, yeah it's here, it's happening.

We've got no shortage of summer and we'll actually have a shortage today.

But for the last week it's been hot and then from starting the next couple of days it's

going to be hot, hot, hot.

So we're here and I think this is going to be a good warm summer for us, maybe a little

too dry and hot.

Well, that's sad.

We're still at the point in the year where the day time makes me deeply wish we had air

conditioning.

But at night it's in the 60s of the low teens if you speak Celsius.

Yeah, 60s, that's hot.

That's like as hot as has ever been recorded on the surface of the earth.

That's terrible.
