I'm going to Welcome to the Hunt Back Hunter Podcast. This is episode number

452 and we are continuing in our series having conversations with state game and fish agencies. Now I say

continuing but it's actually been a bit of a break. We have not released an

episode in this series in a while.

But as you may have heard earlier this year, we did release episodes with numerous states,

Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, and others.

And today we have an episode with Colorado. I've been trying to get

Colorado on the podcast since we started this initiative back at the beginning of

the year and I didn't know if it was going to happen but finally it did and part of the reason for the delay I found out was just the timing of some of their processes which you'll hear more about in this conversation.

So there is a ton going on in Colorado that many hunters are interested in and many hunters

are concerned about.

And of course we can't answer every single question,

but I did want to do my best to answer your questions

and most of those questions focused around two issues.

One is the future opportunities of over-the-counter elk tags.

There's been a lot of conversation about this, some rumors swirling online, and a whole lot more.

And so I wanted to get very clear answers on where things stand and where it looks like things may be going as it relates to future

over-the-counter opportunities in Colorado and the second issue is

wolves and so we focused this conversation primarily on those two topics and within each of those topics I focused it primarily on your questions.
