πŸ“œ TODAY'S SCRIPTURE: Psalm 32

Blessed is the one whose transgression is forgiven,
    whose sin is covered.
Blessed is the man against whom the Lord counts no iniquity,
    and in whose spirit there is no deceit.

For when I kept silent, my bones wasted away
    through my groaning all day long.
For day and night your hand was heavy upon me;
    my strength was dried up as by the heat of summer. Selah

I acknowledged my sin to you,
    and I did not cover my iniquity;
I said, “I will confess my transgressions to the Lord,”
    and you forgave the iniquity of my sin. Selah

Therefore let everyone who is godly
    offer prayer to you at a time when you may be found;
surely in the rush of great waters,
    they shall not reach him.
You are a hiding place for me;
    you preserve me from trouble;
    you surround me with shouts of deliverance. Selah

I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go;
    I will counsel you with my eye upon you.
Be not like a horse or a mule, without understanding,
    which must be curbed with bit and bridle,
    or it will not stay near you.

10 Many are the sorrows of the wicked,
    but steadfast love surrounds the one who trusts in the Lord.
11 Be glad in the Lord, and rejoice, O righteous,
    and shout for joy, all you upright in heart!

Good morning my friends and welcome back to the morning mindset. I want to ask you a

0:07.6

question this morning. Do you know what it feels like to be forgiven.

0:15.0

It may sound like a strange question for me to ask on a Christian podcast,

0:20.0

but we all need to really consider that question because the chapter we're going to look at today is

0:27.2

Psalm chapter 32 and David is talking about the blessing of being forgiven, of having our sin covered as he says.

0:39.4

And I want you to think about it from this perspective. I believe that when we don't see fully, how

0:46.8

fully we've been forgiven. We don't live the kind of life that we should, because we're not living in gratitude or in

0:55.6

thankfulness as we should be. There is a power to forgiveness, there is a power to

1:02.1

confession of sin. There is a power to confession of sin. There is a power to being

1:05.6

honest about our sin before God and we're going to look at all of those things here in

1:12.4

chapter 32.

1:13.3

Let's begin reading.

This blessed is the one whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered.

Blessed is the man against whom the Lord counts know iniquity and in whose spirit there is no deceit.

1:29.0

There is a huge blessing, isn't there, to knowing that your sin is forgiven?

1:35.0

That the Lord counts nothing against you.

1:38.0

Can you even imagine that?

1:39.0

I know sometimes we struggle with guilt and doubts about whether God really loves us, really forgives us,

1:45.3

really cleanses us from all the guilt that we feel in our own soul. But my friends many times

1:52.0

those are just feelings. They're like a residue left over.

1:57.6

Look at what it says here in verse 3 about the issue of repentance because let's be honest there are times when we've done

2:05.6

something wrong or when our hearts have not been right our attitude has been
