Summary

Richard came into the lands of his father and was crowned at Westminster in 1189.  For the next 6 months he was packing his bags,  cleaning the fridge and getting ready to go. He sets up his administration, makes sure his borders are safe and sets off for Sicily. So was Richard a feckless warrior who had no interest in administration ? We talk about this and also about the Jewish communities in England in the 11th and 12th Centuries. AND Don't forget to go to www.thehistoryofengland.com post for the Great British Coin Giveaway

so that he could leave. But there was one other thing that I reckon was worrying him,

1:30.7

which oddly enough was the death of his father. I've no idea how bothered he was that his dad

wasn't around anymore, but I rather fancy that he didn't cry out for his father in his sleep.

1:42.5

But I think that he suffered a certain amount of guilt from his own hand in that death,

1:46.2

and even more how this very same hand looked to the world outside.
