Hello and welcome to episode 45 of Geek's Guide to the Galaxy.

Hi, I'm John Joseph Adams. I'm the editor of Lightspeed and Fantasy magazine and I've also edited several anthologies such as

Under the moons of Mars, New Adventures on Barsoo, which comes out in February and armored which comes out in March.

And I'm David Bar Curley. I'm the author of many short stories, including the skull-faced boy,

about an intelligent zombie who organizes hordes of mindless zombies into an unstoppable army.

The story was just reprinted in the Young Adult anthology Z zombie stories, which also features

fiction by Kelly Link, Catherine Valenti, Jonathan Mayberry, and others.

And our guest today is Jim Butcher.

He's the author of the best-selling Dresden File series about a modern-day wizard

private eye named Harry Dresden. The series was adapted into a TV show which ran for one season

on the Sci-Fi channel. Jim is also the author of the Codex Alera series about a lost Roman Legion in a fantasy world.

Okay, so first of all, you know, it's basically impossible to say anything about your most

recent resident book without totally spoiling the ending of the previous one.

Is that something that concerns you at all and how if you handle that while promoting the new book?

No, not really. It's really it's gotten around so much now that I'm not too worried about spoilers. Plus as the writer I'm always kind of focused on the next book.
