📜 TODAY'S SCRIPTURE: Psalm 30
I will extol you, O Lord, for you have drawn me up
and have not let my foes rejoice over me.
2 O Lord my God, I cried to you for help,
and you have healed me.
3 O Lord, you have brought up my soul from Sheol;
you restored me to life from among those who go down to the pit.
4 Sing praises to the Lord, O you his saints,
and give thanks to his holy name.
5 For his anger is but for a moment,
and his favor is for a lifetime.
Weeping may tarry for the night,
but joy comes with the morning.
6 As for me, I said in my prosperity,
“I shall never be moved.”
7 By your favor, O Lord,
you made my mountain stand strong;
you hid your face;
I was dismayed.
8 To you, O Lord, I cry,
and to the Lord I plead for mercy:
9 “What profit is there in my death,
if I go down to the pit?
Will the dust praise you?
Will it tell of your faithfulness?
10 Hear, O Lord, and be merciful to me!
O Lord, be my helper!”
11 You have turned for me my mourning into dancing;
you have loosed my sackcloth
and clothed me with gladness,
12 that my glory may sing your praise and not be silent.
O Lord my God, I will give thanks to you forever!

| 0:06.4 | out this morning's recording by asking you to think of a time in your own life when |
| 0:11.9 | you were so overjoyed and so thankful for something the |
| 0:16.8 | Lord had done in your life. Can you recall that feeling that you had at that moment. |
| 0:24.0 | Well, today we're going to be looking at Psalm chapter 30, |
| 0:27.4 | and it is a Psalm that recounts some of the great and glorious things God has done in the life of the author, which was the King David from the Old Testament days. |
| 0:38.0 | Now I remember a time like that in my life when my wife had suffered a heart issue and had been hospitalized in an emergency |
| 0:47.6 | sort of a situation, and not only was she miraculously healed from the situation that happened, but also the |
| 0:56.4 | financial part of it was taken care of in just an incredible way that we did not expect. |
| 1:02.0 | And I remember feeling so overwhelmed with God's goodness, so |
| 1:07.1 | encouraged by His love for me. And I want you to think of those kinds of situations as you hear this Psalm coming from the heart in the |
| 1:17.4 | pen of David. He says, I will extol you, O Lord, for you have |
| 1:25.0 | oh Lord for you have drawn me up and have not let my foes rejoice over me. |
| 1:28.9 | O Lord my God I cried to you for help and you have healed me. Oh Lord you have |
| 1:35.0 | have brought up my soul from Sheol you restored me to life from among those who go |
| 1:41.0 | down to the pit. You see David is recounting the things that |
| 1:45.8 | God has done for him and he's encouraging his own heart with remembrance of what |

| 1:52.9 | And my friends, that's something we can do |
| 1:55.0 | throughout the course of our lives. |
| 1:56.3 | We can be intentional about reminding ourselves |
